Job Title Senior Oracle DBA Job Description Role Responsibilities: Duties include: Operational Support and maintenance of IG Groups Oracle DB infrastructure and supported services across the world. Based in Bangalore the Oracle DB Administrator will be expected to troubleshoot and respond to production issues, working with Infrastructure and Development teams to ensure optimal up time and performance of busy mission critical financial trading environments. The successful applicant should have expert level Oracle knowledge and be familiar with modern web technologies and the infrastructure required to support a large complex high volume online trading platform. They should be able to demonstrate their experience working as part of large successful IT projects as well as smaller individual tasks. There is a requirement for out of hours work and on-call duties during evenings and weekends. We would love to hear from you if you have the following. Essential:
- At least 8 years’ experience of Oracle database administration up to and including 18C on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Expert level – Installation, upgrades and patching of RDBMS, OCI/Instant/thin client
- Expert level – RAC installation, configuration and support
- Expert level – PL/SQL and SQL diagnostics and tuning
- Expert level – Backup and recovery techniques Inc. RMAN
- Expert level – Data Guard configuration and maintenance (Inc. broker)
- Expert level – Database hardware tuning
- Expert level – Golden Gate
- Enterprise Manager Grid Control configuration and maintenance 13C
- Advanced Security/TDE
- Database Security and Compliance experience
- Data pump/export/import
- Load testing
Desirable:
- Oracle on Net app storage experience
- Data Warehousing
- Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux skills
- Oracle Business Intelligence 12c / ESSBASE experience
- Other database/data technologies Inc. Mongodb, Postgres and Hadoop
