We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager to Head our IndiaSA (India, South Asia) Growth initiatives out of Bangalore.

This is a key cross-functional role in Bangalore and will be instrumental in driving product and tech-enabled business growth for IndiaSA in close collaboration with our IndiaSA business leads.

The role will focus on rapidly validating and developing a variety of India-first product and platform initiatives and scaling them globally across Uber’s emerging markets. You bring a background, experience, and impact that demonstrates a deep obsession and understanding of the Indian consumer demographics across the physical and digital domains. You have a deep understanding of the Indian technology landscape and innovation ecosystem, and the unique opportunities/challenges it presents.

You are impact-focused and data-driven, juggling the big business picture with attention to detail, establishing a culture of rigor and principled prioritization that keeps your team focused on the biggest impact opportunities at all times. You live and breathe “Jugaad” in a good way; helping drive a frugal experimentation model of fast, scrappy learning and iteration to win.

You can connect the missing dots to create and drive a compelling vision that galvanizes not just your immediate team, but key cross-functional stakeholders across Uber to drive support for your initiatives across Uber’s core tech areas when needed. You are comfortable building cross-functional alliances and leading from the front to see them succeed.

A “Founder’s” entrepreneurial mindset Minimum 8+ years experience in a product role delivering highly successful and innovative mobile consumer Internet products with your fingerprints all over them – you are extremely proud of what you’ve accomplished A technical undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience in a high growth company or startup focused on the consumer space.

Technical understanding must go from the highest abstractions down to the metal Stellar design instincts and product taste A high bar across the board – from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on A “driver” personality – constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration Grittiness.

You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away Finger-tippiness with data: you just go get the data you need with no muss/fuss and can whip it into an insightful story with no help.

You know how to leverage data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis User-centricity – examples from your past of product challenges that you powered through because you were unwilling to make your problems your users’ problems Passion for Uber’s mission and the company’s hybrid technology/operations nature
